William playing and practicing sitting up

Here are a few recent pictures of William playing on his tummy and kind of sitting up. Yesterday he sat up for almost 2 minutes unassisted! He uses his hands to balance, but the only "problem" with that is that he likes to reach out for his toes which makes him face plant into the carpet. I CANNOT WAIT until he sits up for longer periods unassisted. He is so curious about the world around him and no longer enjoys laying on his tummy or back. He has discovered that we have a dog (Scooter). He enjoys watching Scooter, and when we ask him, "Where's Scooter?" He will look around until he sees Scooter. It's so amazing how quickly they catch on at just 5 months! He knows who he is (if you say his name he will look at you), Scooter, and I'm sure he knows mommy and daddy!
