More Christmas Pictures...

These pictures were taken the night before we left for England (December 20, 2007). We celebrated an early Christmas with my family. William loved his new toys! He also got an SCSU outfit from his uncle Ryan and a UST outfit from his uncle Kevin!

William loves Ravioli...

What can I say? He takes after his mom and dad...he loves food and makes sure he thoroughly enjoys it!

I bought a can of Annie's organic ravioli for him to try (I'm sick so heat it and eat is what was for lunch). He ate 3/4 of the can!

First Haircut!

My baby had his first haircut on Thursday, January 10th. It was getting in his eyes and growing over his ears, so we decided we had waited long enough. It was time to get a haircut. We did request that he still look like a baby though! He did really well and was very interested in what was going on. We took him to Kids Kut where he got to sit on an animal and watch a cartoon. Of course he was way more interested in trying to watch the stylist. Eventually he got brave and took his hands off the handles of the animal and tried grabbing for the scissors!

We meet for the first time!

I have belonged to a mommy message board since around the time William was born. We are all first time moms who have gotten to know each other online. They have been such a wonderful support since I gave birth to William.

Beth is a fellow mommy on the message board, and her husband is from England. We were both planning to be in England over Christmas, so we decided to meet each other (we live far away from each other in the states as she's on the east coast). We picked a day and met up in Oxford. It was great to meet her, her husband, Lawrence, and their daughter, Alex. I felt like I already knew Beth from all our time spent sending messages on the board. It was great to meet her in real life (Alex and her husband too!).

Cheers! Happy New Year! New year's eve at Olly's mom and dad's house. We had a quiet evening inside with a nice meal. FYI-Sue rarely drinks. We just thought it would be funny for her to hold the champagne bottle!

Olly, Russ, and I went to a football game (what we call soccer in the states). We watched Birmingham City play Middelsborough. It was really neat to watch! The fans can get really crazy, but overall they seemed pretty tame.

A few more pictures from England...

Here is William wearing his crown at Christmas lunch...he was NOT happy! In England they have "crackers". It's something that two people pull at the same time (each person holds an end), and it makes a loud popping noise. It scared him! Inside each cracker is a crown, joke, and little "gift".

We're Back!

We made it safely back to Minnesota from England yesterday afternoon. The flight went pretty well. William only slept for 1 1/2 hours of the nine hour flight! So it was hard work to entertain him and keep him happy! I much prefer the overnight flights.

We had a great time in England with Olly's family. It was wonderful to see everyone, and it was really great to spend a lot of time with his parents. We miss them already! Good byes are never easy though.

William adjusted well to the time difference after several nights. He's adjusting pretty well to being back in Minnesota too. He actually went to bed pretty close to his regular Minnesota bedtime (although he was exhausted). He woke up during the night and wouldn't go back to sleep until we resorted to the swing. After that he woke up on Minnesota time!
