My Beautiful Gracie

I took these pictures of her today while we were hanging out. Isn't she gorgeous!?! I just love her so much!

If you've ever been to London you will recognize these phone boxes. They are all over the city-London is known for their red double decker buses and red phone boxes (yes, we call them phone booths, but in England they are phone boxes). The day we took the train into the city we ate at our favorite restaurant which happens to be British. They have this phone box in the outdoor area, and William was desperate to check it it.

Our First Trip on the Lightrail!

We recently got a new train system in our area. We finally had a beautiful Sunday with no plans so we decided to take the train into the city. It was awesome! William was so excited to be on the train and smiled a huge grin the whole time-as you can see from below. What a great activity to do for the day! We had lunch at one of our favorite restaurants and walked around the city.

My friend Amber came over to visit today with her little boys. Here is a picture of Gracie and Mason. Mason is just a little younger than Grace. It was great to see you, Amber! We really need to get together more often with our kids!

Good-Byes Are Never Easy

Olly's mom headed back to England on Thursday :( We miss her! It was so wonderful to have her here for a month (and Olly's dad here for 2 weeks). She stayed home with William and Grace when I returned to work from maternity leave. It made going back to work just a little easier knowing that my children were with their nana.

William had a wonderful time with his nana and grumps. They played Twins a lot. (hitting the ball with a bat in the yard). It was so nice that he could spend so much quality time with Nana and Grumps. Some things I'd like to remember:
"cheers my dears"
"I did a body bang P-HEW!"
"Let's go play Twins!"
"Toes, nose, ears, throw!"
"I miss Nana, but we can still Skype!"

Mother's Day 2010

We had a lovely bunch at Edinburgh for Mother's Day. It was really great to have Olly's mom here for Mother's Day as well.

Gracie-3 months

I can't believe my little Gracie McGoo is 3 months old! Yes, that is one of the silly nicknames I call her!

What she loves...

-Nursing! She is so happy when I come home from work (that makes two of us!). Right away she rubs her face against me letting me know she wants to nurse. She cuddles in and I love it!

-People talking to her! She gives big smiles and giggles now. She has the cutest belly laugh which I heard for the first time this weekend. It was just too cute!

-Sucking on her fingers and hands! They are always so wet with drool. She can just about get her whole hand into her mouth. I wonder if she will be a thumb sucker? She did find it the other day and was really sucking on it.

-Swaddling! She sleeps so well swaddled in her miracle blanket.

-Being cool! She does not like to be warm. I naturally want to keep her warm, but she doesn't not like that. Often times she sleeps with just her swaddle and a short sleeved onesie.

-Sleep! Yes, she finally likes her sleep! She will easily sleep for 12 hours with an occasional waking one time. She sleeps well during the day now too. She is still a little bit of a night owl, but I don't mind so much now that I'm gone all day.

-Her swing! That's where she sleeps. I was having her sleep with me when I went back to work, but she doesn't sleep as well and neither do I. We sure do spend a lot of money on batteries though.

I know every mother thinks her own baby is the cutest, but seriously...could she get an cuter? I do hear a lot of compliments from strangers on her beautiful features, and I have to say that I agree!!

Gracie's Baptism

Grace was baptized on Sunday, April 18th. It was a beautiful day! It was great that Olly's mom and dad could be here as they flew in the Wednesday before.

Gracie's godparents are my good friend, Theresa, and my brother, Kevin. I couldn't ask for two better people to be my daughter's role models! Love you both!!

Here are the family photos from Gracie's baptism. I just realized that I have no pictures of just Grace, so it looks like I'll be putting her baptism dress back on!

She wore the dress that my aunt made for my baptism. Both of my brothers and William wore the dress as well. My mom is hoping that all future grandchildren will be wearing the dress. So far so good!
