Playing Outside

Larry Bird...

My brother, Kevin, and I decided to provide ourselves some entertainment at William's expense! Kevin is going to be Larry Bird for Halloween, so we had to try the wig on William! He makes a cute Larry Bird!

8 MONTHS OLD!

I can't believe my little baby is 8 months old today! Where has the time gone? I ask myself that question every month on the 21st. The past 8 months have gone way too quickly. I wish I could keep William as a little baby longer. They grow up too fast!

Here are some pictures from today. He was really scooting around on the floor a lot. He is really good at going backwards, but he's still working on going forwards. He has also started standing on his feet with his hands down in front of him-like he's doing yoga.

We had a bridal shower for my cousin, Ashley, so the picture below is of my grandma with her three great grandchildren. Isabella and Sophia are the daughers of my cousin. Isabella is 3 years old this month, and Sophia will be 8 months in 12 days.

No Smiles and...

My normally smiley baby WOULD NOT smile for the camera today! I could barely even get him to look at the camera. He wouldn't take a nap so I let him play and tried to take some pictures.

The other big news of the day...William is getting his first tooth! Olly felt it this afternoon as we were leaving the restaurant. William was trying to bite Olly's nose (not sure why), and Olly felt something sharp. He then put his finger in his mouth and felt a tooth! It is just barely breaking the surface. I've tried to look at it a few times, but he gets mad and jerks his head away. Lets just pray that he doesn't bite Mommy while he nurses!

I can't believe William will be 8 months on Sunday. Where has the time gone? I think that every month as he turns a month older.

Pumpkin Time!

Today we took William to the pumpkin patch and apple orchard. He loved being outside! I carried him in the baby bjorn which he loves. He enjoys being outside, and the weather was perfect for a walk around the orchard and pumpkin patch. Here are some pictures from our day. It was difficult to get William to cooperate while getting his picture taken! He much preferred to study the ground and look around rather than getting his picture taken. He can be so serious sometimes, and when he's really interested in something and trying to make sense of it, he has this look of concentration. His daycare provider, Carla, said the same thing. He concentrates on things and is taking everything in. It's so neat to watch him grow and change everyday!

William in the Bathtub

Here are some recent photos of William in the bathtub. These were taken a few days ago. He loves being in the bathtub, and he is starting to throw a little tantrum when we let the water drain and take him out!

Yesterday (Saturday) William went to his first swimming lesson! I had so much fun with him. He absolutely loved the water! He smiled, squealed, giggled, and screamed the whole time. I would have to say it was the most fun I've had with him so far. I signed him up for the under 5 class, which means a parent goes in the water with the child. Olly was in a golf tournament, so I took William. I'm going to post pictures after next Saturday's lesson, because Olly will go into the water with him, and I can take pictures.
